I heard my first 2 Christmas songs of the year on BBC Radio 1 this morning, and they actually brightened up my otherwise dreary and depressing Monday morning, which was a very nice change!
Is everyone as happy as I am about it being the 1st of December? Last year I remember not feeling very festive or excited for the Christmas season at all, and I don't really know why.
This year however, I'm very much looking forward to December, for a number of reasons;
- It's my birthday on the 5th (24...what even is that?).
- It's also one of my best friends birthday on the 5th too!
- Christmas dinner...I mean, hello?! Of course if deserves a special mention.
- David and I will be hitting the 2 year mark on the 28th!!
- The Christmas Market is in full swing (although I do have to admit to a love/hate relationship with it).
- Wrapping up all cosy + warm, and going out in the freezing cold for nice wee walks.
- Christmas decorations and fairy lights everywhere, making everything look so very pretty.
- Wearing Christmas jumpers.
- Officially starting Christmas shopping, which truthfully, may or may not be something to forward to!
- Watching Christmas movies, eating mince pies and drinking festive themed coffee.
So basically I'm looking forward to everything to do with Christmas and I'm not even sorry!
Although, I do really hope that it doesn't snow. Snow and I are still not friends after I got stranded at Birmingham Airport like 4 years ago. Sorry.
